While sidling into my seat

While sidling into my seat
Hoping I would not be late
Or less than truant any rate
I flinched as I beheld the sound
And reached my chair in double bound
And panicking I looked around
To take account of my surround
Then just as I thought luck ran out
As soon as time had stood its still
I realized I must be ill
For wait it's only Saturday
It's time to go outside and play
To celebrate my youthful joy
I got up out of that bleak seat
And crossed the threshhold right away
And never looked back or astray.

May no one ever take their seat
May no will ever meet defeat
May weekend sun rise every dawn
And reprise every morn to come
'Til dawn gives in to setting sun.
